Egg Biryani|Quick ,Simple & Delicious|Step by step explanation
Today's recipe is a super simple ,quick & yummy egg Biryani,Here are the ingredients & method.
Ingredients(for 4 people)
5 boiled eggs
1/2 tsp each of red chilli powder & haldi /turmeric powder
1 cup of basmati rice
2 large onions sliced thin
1 medium onion chopped fine
1 medium tomato chopped fine
a paste of 4 cloves of garlic,1 inch of ginger &4 green chillies
1/2 cup of chopped coriander leaves
1/2 cup of chopped pudina/mint leaves
2 tsp of coriander powder
1 tsp of cumin powder
1 tsp of kashmiri red chilli powder
1/2 tsp of turmeric /haldi powder
2 tsp of Biryani masala

1 tbsp of thick curd /yogurt(my recipe for homemade curd-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puAmz...)
Salt to taste
Method
To boil the eggs ,Add 4 cups of water to a pot,add the raw eggs ,bring the water to a gentle boil on a low to medium flame,once the water starts to boil ,let it boil for 10 mins ..then switch off the heat and let the water come to room temp.run the boiled eggs under running water .then peel &set aside.
To these boiled eggs add 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder,1/2 tsp of haldi powder and 1/2 tsp of salt ,mix & set aside.In 2 tbsp of oil fry the thinly sliced onions till crispy & golden brown(tip :fry in two batches as shown in the video so they are evenly fried)
In a pot /vessel add 3 cups of water ,add 1 cup of Basmati rice(washed well) cook this rice till just about cooked .drain & set aside.
In a Large pot ,add 2 tbsp of ghee,add the eggs ,cover & fry for a minute.set the eggs aside,In the same ghee add 1 tbsp of the ginger,garlic & green chilli paste,fry well,add the medium onion,add the tomato fry well.cover & cook for 2 mins till the tomatoes are cooked well.now add the coriander powder,cumin powder,kashmiri red chilli powder & haldi powder.mix well.Add salt to taste,Biryani masala,Garam masala & curd ,mix well ,add half of the coriander leaves as well as half of the mint /pudina leaves & half of the fried onions .Mix well. Add the cooked Basmati rice,Mix well Now add the remaining coriander leaves,pudina leaves & fried onions .mix well,Add the boiled eggs (either whole /cut in halves)Gently mix them into the rice,Cover & cook on a very low flame for 10 mins
