Goan Godshe Recipe | Traditional Goan recipe|No oil or ghee used|Eggless dessert

Today's recipe is a Goan Tea time snack "Godshe""godshem"also called Atol.No oil ,butter or ghee is used in this recipe.It makes a great after meal dessert too.
Ingredients
1 cup of rice
1/2 cup chana dal
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup of jaggery
1 tsp cardamom powder
a pinch of salt
Method
Wash the rice & dal well,Soak the rice in 3 cups of water & the chana dal in 2 cups of water for 8 hours.After 8 hours add the dal & rice to a pressure pan ,and pressure cook for 1 whistle on high & simmer for 10 mins.Once the pan has cooled completely open it.Transfer to a heavy bottomed pan/continue cooking it in the pressure pan itself.Mash the dal & rice just slightly,add the coconut milk,jaggery ,salt,cardamom powder,mix well..keep stirring the mixture till it thickens as shown in the video,Once the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan transfer to a greased tray/mold..Let it set for 2 hours ,you can refrigerate it too,Once set demold & cut into desired shape and serve with a hot cup of tea.
