Today's Recipe is this amazing & Delicious Goan Prawn & Bhendi Caldine which is very light & refreshing and goes best with some goan rice or any steamed rice.
Ingredients
1/2 cup of deveined & cleaned prawns
1 medium onion finely chopped
6-7 cloves of garlic finely chopped
1 small tomato very finely chopped
1 cup of coconut milk.
7 cloves/lavang
1/2 tsp of turmeric /haldi powder
1 /2 tsp of cumin/jeera powder
1 tsp of corriander/dhania powder
1 tsp of pepper powder
1 tbsp of vinegar
salt to taste
1/4 cup of water
Method
Mix the powder masalas well,Add the vinegar to the mixed powder masalas & make a smooth paste set aside,Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan,once the oil is hot,add the cloves ,fry a bit,next add the chopped garlic fry well,add the onions and mix well..once the onions are well fried add the masala paste,fry well,add the coconut milk stir well,add salt to taste,add the tomato and mix well,add the prawns and bhendi,mix well ,cover & cook on a low f lame.add 1/4 cup of water,and mix well,cook for 2 mins..Caldine is already. to see the video of how I make the caldine click on the video below
