ICE CREAM CAKE

One of my very favourite desserts...so easy to prepare and delicious to eat




ICE CREAM CAKE



Recipe

For the chocolate cake
4 eggs
200 gms of icing sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup of butter @ room temp
1 tsp of vanilla essence
1/2 tsp of baking powder
200 gms + 2/3 cup of maida

beat the butter till nice and fluffy ,add the icing sugar and continue beating it.add the eggs,baking powder,cocoa powder,vanilla essence mix well.Finally add the maida/all purpose flour.
Pour into a lined cake tin and bake in a pre heated oven @ 180 deg C for 20 mins.Cool the cake completely once done.

Using a cake tin with a removable base,
Cut the chocolate cake into 2 equal halves
put one onto the base of the cake tin,moisten with a mix of 2 tbsp of icing sugar in 1/2 cup of milk
add a thick layer of ice cream of your choice
add the other layer of cake & mositen with the milk sugar mix
add another layer of ice cream,cover with foil ,freeze for 7-8 hours or overnight
