This is a restaurant style Chicken Handi Recipe.Try this recipe out ,it's finger licking delicious

Ingredients
for the marination
200 gms boneless chicken breasts cut into cubes
Alternatively you can make this with chicken on the bone as well
1/2 tsp of turmeric powder
add 1 tsp of salt
the other ingredinets
1/2 cup of fried onions(see Tips below)
1/4 cup of cashewnuts soaked(see Tips below)
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 cardamons
1 inch cinnamon
1 Bay leaf
2 tsp of ginger garlic paste
(make a paste of 4 cloves of garlic & 1/2 inch of ginger)
1 green chilli chopped fine
1 tsp of pepper powder
2 tsp of Kashmiri Red chilli powder
Puree of 1 medium sized tomato.
1/2 cup of water
salt to taste
2 tsp of crushed Kasuri Meethi
1/2 tsp of garam masala

2 tsps of fresh cream(optional)see tips below
2 tsp of finely chopped coriander leaves
Method
Add the chicken pieces to a bowl,add the turmeric,salt to taste,mix everything well and set aside for
30 mins.
Grind the fried onions & soaked cashewnuts to a very fine paste.
Heat oil in a pan,once the oil is hot add the cumin seeds,add the cardamons,cinnamon,bay leaf,
ginger garlic paste,fry everything well.
Add the chopped green chilli,fry the chilli well too.Add the marinated chicken,fry this for 2-3 mins.Fry till the chicken pieces turn to a white colour.Add the pepper powder,kashmiri red chilli powder,Mix everything well.
Add the tomato Puree,Mix everything well again.Add the ground fried onion & cashew paste & mix well.Add the water ,mix again..Cover & Cook for 8-10 mins on a low flame.
Add salt to taste,remember we had added salt while marinating the chicken,so first taste the gravy and add salt accordingly.
Add the kasuri meethi ,mix well,add the fresh cream(optional),
Mix well
Turn off the heat and add finely chopped coriander leaves.

Tips to keep in mind for the recipe
For the fried onions ,take 2 medium sized onions,slice them into thing long slices like you would for a Biryani etc,Fry them in a cup of oil till goldn brown and crispy,,drain excess oil & set aside.
For the cashewnuts,take about 10-12 cashew nuts and soak in 1/2 cup of hot water for 15 mins
drain the water and set aside.
For the fresh cream I'm using the cream that tops the milk or you can use store bought fresh cream too
