RIBBON CAKE
RIBBON CAKE-A CHRISTMAS DELIGHT

250 gms sifted all purpose flour/maida
250 gms sifted icing sugar
100 gms + 2tbsp butter @ room temp.
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp of vanilla essence
2 tbsp of drinking soda
whisk the egg whites very well till foamy
in a Large bowl whisk the yolks & icing sugar till mixed well
add the butter keep whisking
add the whisked whites
add the flour slowly folding as you go along
add the baking powder,vanilla essence & soda
pre heat your oven to 180 deg C for 10 mins

divide the batter into 3 parts
add a few drops of light rose pink in one,in the other light green leaving the other white
add a few drops of light rose pink in one,in the other light green leaving the other white
line a loaf/cake tin with butter paper
first add 1/2 of the white batter ,then add the pink ,next green and last the remaining white batter.
take a pointed tip of the knife and swirl the mix and then smoothen the top
bake in a pre heated oven @ 180 deg C for 15-20 mins till nicely done (i.e when you insert a knife it should come out clean)
