Ingredients250 gms of boneless chicken breasts cut into pieces/chicken with bones can be used toopaste of 5 large garlic cloves and 1 inch of ginger peeled and grated ,grind the two into a fine pastea few fresh curry leaves2 large onions chopped fine½ tsp of garam masala6-7 dried red chillies1tbsp of dhania/coriander seeds1 tbsp of jeera/cumin seeds1 tbsp of saunf/fennel seeds1 tbsp of black pepper corns1 tsp of red chilli powder½ tsp of haldi/turmeric powdersalt to taste1/4th cup of water/as required to knead a smooth yet firm dough.MethodRoast the dried red chilies, pepper corns, coriander and cumin seeds well. Once at room temp, grind them to a very fine powder. In a heavy bottomed heat 2 tbsp. of oil, once the oil is hot ,add the onions and sauté well, add the curry leaves,haldi powder and fry till the onions turn golden brown in colour,add the ginger garlic paste and sauté well. Add the chicken and fry well, now add the garam masala, red chili powder, salt the ground powder and keep sautéing, add ¼ cup of water and cover and cook till the chicken is nice and cooked …garnish with coriander and add the lemon juice once the heat /gas flamer is turned off. Enjoy with some rotis/polis or rice

Ingredients

6-7 dried red chillies
